Thank you for visiting our Waukee Area Christian Services website. This site was designed to provide information about all of our growing ministries. 

Not knowing what God’s plan would be, we opened the doors of the Food Pantry in October 2005 serving 26 families. Today, the Food Pantry is serving four times as many families and serving even more through our Free Clinic and The Fruitful Vine Garden.  

Our wonderful volunteers and generous donations have allowed us to serve the growing needs of families seeking help. I'm truly amazed by God’s work!

Easter “BASKETS OF LOVE”

The Waukee Area Christian Food Pantry is preparing for their annual Easter “Baskets of Love” distribution. For the last five years, they have been spreading cheer through Easter Baskets. The baskets are given to children age 2 through 12 through the pantry. What makes these baskets unique is that each child will receive not just the traditional Easter goodies, but they also receive new socks and underwear.

Please help us continue to serve the growing number of children in need by donating an item or two to help fill our baskets.

Items needed:
- New socks and underwear (sizes for ages 2-12, girls and boys)
- Easter candy
- Plastic Easter eggs
- Small toys (bubbles, sidewalk chalk, cards, coloring books, jump   ropes, etc.

Cash donations are also needed to provide each child with an age appropriate Easter story book or bible and to purchase items as needed to finish filling up the baskets. Checks should be made payable to WACFP with a memo for ‘Easter’. 

Donations can be dropped off at the food pantry during normal business hours or left in the shopping cart by the side doors by March 25th. 

Baskets will be distributed the week before Easter.
